Good comics, problematic downloads

The freebies reeled me in. Ive been a Star Trek fan for nearly forty years and a comics reader for nearly as long, so this was an inevitable purchase. With so many weak Star Trek tie-ins over the years, my hopes were not especially high. However IDWs comics have turned out to be well-written and often very well-drawn. More importantly, the involvement of known Trek contributors lend a bit of authenticity to the writing. These are good stories that do no dishonor to the established history of the shows.

However, it must be said that the downloads are problematic. Slow and prone to failure, I have been unable to retrieve a couple that I accidentally deleted, due to timeouts during downloading. My wireless connection is not the fastest in the world, often barely chugging along on impulse power, but this is the only comic app to give me these kind of issues. Will I keep trying? You better believe it. The comics themselves have proven worth the hassles.
