Missing Compatibility

I really like the app however the inability to import purchases into the IDW IVerse app is disappointing. I would like to import the Star Trek comics into the IDW IVerse app, however I can only import the into the standalone IVerse app. Im really only interested in the Star Trek series, and it would be great to be able to import them all into the IDW IVerse app.

Nice, but comics too expensive

$.99 is a good start, but $1.99 is out of the question. Id be reading these like crazy if they werent so expensive. Waiting for prices to become reasonable in this, and the Marvel app.

Don" t waist your time

I love star trek and after using the marvel app I was excited about this app. What a disappointment this was, it is nothing like the marvel app at all. You only get the full page of the comic and you flick around in the page that would be ok if the screen was larger but a full page on a 9.7 inch screen just dons"t cut it in my world. If they would have just used the same interface that marvel uses it would be a five star app, but as it is now I hate it.

Good comics, problematic downloads

The freebies reeled me in. Ive been a Star Trek fan for nearly forty years and a comics reader for nearly as long, so this was an inevitable purchase. With so many weak Star Trek tie-ins over the years, my hopes were not especially high. However IDWs comics have turned out to be well-written and often very well-drawn. More importantly, the involvement of known Trek contributors lend a bit of authenticity to the writing. These are good stories that do no dishonor to the established history of the shows. However, it must be said that the downloads are problematic. Slow and prone to failure, I have been unable to retrieve a couple that I accidentally deleted, due to timeouts during downloading. My wireless connection is not the fastest in the world, often barely chugging along on impulse power, but this is the only comic app to give me these kind of issues. Will I keep trying? You better believe it. The comics themselves have proven worth the hassles.

Great concept

Im a huge fan of ST, and have purchased a few of the the comics available on iTunes an love the idea of having a one app library of the comics. It would be nice if this app could recognize that I have already bought a comic and let me download it again in this library.

Engage!

Im bought maybe 20-25 books, and am really pleased with it overall. Zoom is nice, but to read panel-by-panel, rotate your device horizontally. (Some parts of the artwork dont always make it into the panel by panel though.) One thing I wish would be changed is that if you ever redownload your books, you think it would just fill in the gaps and download the one you are missing, but it redownloads everything again.

This is ok.

This app is cheap. They only offer 3 free comics. Everything else is purchase only. Unlike the marvel app which offers free comics for the very first issue of some of their series. Offer more free comics and this will be worth the download. One star app 5 star art work.

Cant even peek without in-app purchases enabled

Genius suggested this, but I cant even look at it unless I first enable in-app purchases, which I consider a security risk, and do only as needed for an already-trusted app, not an unknown new one. Sadly deleted, though Im a Trekkie.

Crashes Far Too Much...

Great idea, but bad execution. There are bugs when you install this and bugs when you want to read a comic. Either fix it or give me my $3.98 back!!

Rearrange

I thought Id finally be able to move around my comics on the bookshelf, but it doesnt seem to be the case, I can not find a way to change their order. I like to keep my series together, but they end up scattered. Oh well, maybe in the next update...

Great idea, terrible implementation

Having incomplete series for over a year and never posting the follow up comics is terrible and not excusable. Why would I want to only read the first part of a story and then have to hunt down the rest by purchasing physical comics...I want my money back for having purchased comics in the app and expecting the follow ups to have been posted....

They cant even sync with their own apps!

For ages, Ive been bugging these folks to sync their Star Trek app with their main app. Theres no way Im buying anything more from them until they make their own apps talk to each other! Id like to get rid of the more limited app, but they wont transfer it over and Im not rebuying stuff!

WHAT!?!?!

Seriously, IDW??? One title per app? I am actually curious what fool came up with that strategy. No, really. Id like to know. Id then like to know what room full of bigger fools thought the first fool had a good idea. Guess where else I can get these comics without cluttering my iPad with a hundred different apps that do the same thing. A hint: you wont like the answer.

Love the comics, but reading could be improved.

I like the ability to double tap to zoom in on each panel and read each balloon and single tap to view the next panel.

Works great!

The graphics look great on my iPad2. I have not experienced any crashes. I did have to re-read my first comic twice because I had to adjust the pace of the show to comic book style, but that was me, not the app. The free issues give you a good taste of what you are getting into

No problem

So far I have downloaded 5 comics with no problems. Keep it coming.

Classic Star Trek

Works great for me - the free comics are full ones, not just a 15 panel preview. Plus, the prices for the comics are fair. I hope it catches on and we see a lot more new classic Star Trek comics - nothing like new adventures with Kirk, Spock, and the gang. My only complaint is the icon used for selecting the reading mode - it is like an export icon, not something you would expect for changing the reading mode. Other than that, great. Just remember to turn your phone sideways to use the alternate reading mode.

Great App

I am a big Trekkie and I love this app. I am able to purchase and read a large quantity of Star Trek comics that are fun. The comics are cheap too, so you dont have to break the bank to enjoy yourself. I recommend this app for anyone who is a Star Trek fan.

New comics

I love the comics. However, since march I have been looking at the same new releases and the newest one is the infestation comics. Please add more. Im dying to read more.

Disappointed

I downloaded the application to read the new comics based on the movie. The first one displayed the cost of $3.99. There was no indication of the number of pages. It turned out it was a simple scan of the pages of the comics. The DC, Marvel, and other comics allow you to double click on a frame and get a full zoom of the frame and advance to the next frame with a finger swipe. This one requires you to zoom in to a frame by spreading your fingers apart like you would do to zoom in on a web page or picture. To go to the next fram you have to zoom out or scroll around to see it its to the right or below. For $3.99 I expected an actual digital comic. I would also have liked to know before I purchased it and how many pages it was. Also, its a re-run of the "Where No Man has Gone Before" episode. AND its not the complete episode and continued at the end. At the most, this should have cost $1.99 per comic. $3.99 is a rip-off in my opinion. Had I known this and been given a proper description of the comic and its number of pages I would never have wasted the money.
